The Vatsalya Foundation is a pioneer agency established in 1982 working for the children in need of care and protection with strong belief that ‘every child is born with an inherent capacity to grow and develop in mainstream society. It is our duty to see that their potentials are correctly tapped and channelized to the optimum’.

The organization functions through its multilevel non-institutional approach Outreach programme, Day care centers, Shelter home for Boys, Education, Skill training (catering, gardening, performing arts, handicraft for children (age 6 to 17 yrs.) in Greater Mumbai and Thane District.

The Vatsalya Foundation’s Open Shelter Home for Boys providing a home to 50 children is situated at Anand Niketan King George Vth Memorial. It gives them a supportive environment to live and study in, and helps them gain skills that will integrate them into mainstream society.
