Who We Are

King George V Memorial – Anand Niketan is a charitable organization established in 1938 under a trust formed by H.E The Governor of the erstwhile Bombay State with the initiatives of Sir Cawasji Jehangir and KGVM Silver Jubilee Committee with the primary objective of providing care and shelter to the infirm & aged destitute. The trust is registered under the Bombay Public Trust Act 1950 in the year 1956.

At the infirmary handicapped and infirm patients from three major hospitals of Brihanmumbai Mahanagar Palika – BYL Nair Charitable Hospital, K.E.M. Hospital & L.T.M.G. (Sion) Hospital are provided food, shelter, nursing care, medicines and recreational facilities.

The infirmary is open for all communities without any restrictions on caste or creed. At present there are three wards, one for ladies and two for gents where we provide care and shelter to about 60 inmates.
