Aims to empower the visually challenged

The centre at King George V Memorial is committed to rehabilitate the visually impaired – the congenitally blind as well as the newly blind. Several courses are conducted for aiding and encouraging their self reliance and during the period of the course accommodation is also provided to the out station visually impaired learners. The centre conducts:

1. Adult training courses which include Braille & Communication skills, Orientation & Mobility, Self-reliance, Social etiquettes, Home Management, Nutrition & Food, etc.
2. Basic rehabilitation courses which includes Acupressure and Massage Course of 6 month duration and Physiotherapy Course of 2 year duration.
